Pendleton Swim Association is a year-round swim club with swimmers ranging in age from 5 to 18 years old. Practice session are multi-leveled beginning with our learn-to-swim fishies all the way up to our competitive swimmers. All team members are welcome to participate in team events and swim meets throughout the summer.
Summer Registration: Wednesday, May 12, 6:00 - 7:30pm, Community Room at City Hall, 500 SW Emigrant.
Fishie Program:
The fishie program is a four level program. The coaching staff will help establish the proper level for each swimmer.
Level 1 - Floating, going under water, beginning freestyle stroke
Level 2 - Freestyle and backstroke
Level 3 - Freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke
Level 4 - Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly
Practice: Session 1: June 21 - July 15
Session 2: July 19 - August 12
Level 1 - 11 - 11:30 am Mon-Thur
Level 2 - 10:30 - 11:00am Mon - Thur
Level 3 - 10:00 - 10:30am Mon - Thur
Level 4 - 9:30 - 10:30am Mon - Thur
Fees: PSA fishie team dues are as follows: $40 per session or both sessions for $75. All team members must join USA Swimming and have a Pendleton Aquatic Center pool pass. If you have already swam with us in 2010, you are already a USA Swim member. If not, USA Swim dues are $33.50 (discounted rate available if you qualify for reduced fee school lunch program). Aquatic Center passes are available at the Parks and Recreation office.
Competitive Program:
Begins June 1 at BMCC
June 8 moves to Aquatic Center
Practice times:
June 1 - 7 @ BMCC (check back for times)
June 8 - 11 afternoon practice @ Aquatic Ctr. 5 - 6:30pm
Daily doubles and dryland training begin June 14:
6:30-7:15am dryland, 7:30-9am swim, and 5-6:30pm
swim.
